Professional & Outstanding ideas of our passionate team makes us unique in every sense.
David is the founder and CEO of Room Choice. He lives with his wife Stacy and their three children in Idaho but makes the trek down to Utah often in order to stay in touch with his employees. He is a BYU graduate and has had many years experience with web technologies. Before Room Choice, David and two partners purchased a small, rather primitive management company and, with a little elbow grease, managed to turn it around into a fully integrated software system. This endeavor showed him how advanced technologies could be used as a competitive edge.
When David isn’t busy commuting back and forth between Idaho and Utah or running two successful companies, he spends time with his family. He loves to snow ski and wakeboard. He’s traveled to nine different countries and is currently working on building a quadcopter that is 100% software controlled.
Trevor grew up in Washington and North Carolina but has lived in Springville, UT for some time. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. After graduation he ran the accounting departments for two companies, Novatek and MoneyDesktop, now known as MX. Also sometime between graduation and now, Trevor interned at a company David Bailey was working at. The two bonded and agreed to work together again sometime in the future (how sweet).
David approached Trevor with his Room Choice idea and the two have been in business together ever since. Trevor’s accounting and financing skills are generously complimented with talents in operations and management. He also is an avid air-chairer. Which is something I had to look up. You should look it up too, it’s cool.
He is now our Director of Business Development and an expert at business and sales strategy – we’re lucky to have him. He works hard to make sure our company is the best it can be. He’s also used these same strategy skills while coaching his sons’ football team – they’re undefeated.
Dustin hails from Idaho, where the spuds run free! Seriously though, he has been in the tech/web industry for over ten years. Dustin completed his Masters Degree in Instructional Design and Educational Technology. His first experiences programming started with ActionScript 2 and building online training. After years of experience, Dustin has become an expert on all things ActionScript. Some of his best works include touch screen kiosks, web and mobile applications, and even home automation systems.
With several years of senior level management under his belt, Dustin has successfully run several companies before joining Lift. Currently, he has turned his focus to web based languages as well as mobile application development. If you are feeling lucky, then you might challenge Dustin to a ping pong game.
He used his newly acquired coding skills to land a full-time developing job with Lift Media. He specializes in front end responsive web development with a special emphasis on our eLearning clients. In addition to his training at Coding Campus, Alex also completed his Bachelor’s degree at Brigham Young University. His perfect day involves 80’s Kung Fu movies and EDM music.
Melanie loves that she gets to use her writing education everyday at work. Not only does she write Room Choice copy and small product blurbs for clients, but she also runs the Lift Media blog! She likes taking long walks on the beach with her sweetheart, Alex, and writing her own bio blurbs.
Hoki is a full-stack developer, proficient in both front and back end development. His favorite aspect of development, however, is middleware – connecting the two to create a functional site. He’s the in-house developer for Lift Media’s parent company, Room Choice, which is a job that keeps him pretty busy. If you ever get the privilege of meeting Hoki, you’ll notice his quiet demeanor, don’t let it fool you. Hoki goes HAM on the dance floor.
Eleanor’s passion is rebranding. She loves creating a personality for a brand and really focuses on perceptions and interactions between people and product. She has a keen eye for design and understands how to make a clean interface. While her mantra for design is “simplify to clarify,” her guilty pleasures are any of the confusing teen dramas found on the CW.
